Pediatric Emergency Room

When your child is injured, all you want is to have him or her feeling better and back at home as soon as possible. You decide to quickly take your child to the nearest emergency room. This is a terribly stressful time for you and your child. Unfortunately there is no ER in Ashdod, Israel's fifth largest city, to meet this pressing need. AMC's purpose is to alleviate this situation and return calm.
AMC will have an emergency room devoted just to children. The AMC Emergency Center for Children staff members will include emergency medicine physicians specializing in pediatric medical trauma care and urgent care, nurses with special training in pediatrics and pediatric nurse practitioners. You want to know that anything that can be done, will be.
Accidents and sudden illnesses have a way of bringing the unique medical needs of children quickly and urgently into focus. At AMC we will proving that child-sized medical equipment, specially trained staff and a friendly atmosphere make an amazing difference when young patients need to be comforted and cared for fast.
Having dedicated pediatric physicians allows us to place children in exam rooms faster, resulting in shorter wait times, more efficiency and much less anxiety for our smallest patients and their families.
When arriving at The AMC Emergency Center for Children the emergency room will have its own separate pediatric triage, waiting room and play area. It is less frightening for the child because they do not see the adult traumas coming through the door. Instead, they see a colorfully painted ceiling and can concentrate on the artwork adorning the walls and bright lighting instead of the doctor on duty. Two pediatric examination rooms with child size examination tables and a child friendly environment will shelter the child from the hectic happenings of the AMC general ER. These child centered features will considerably reduce the average time from start to finish for a child's visit. Not so incidentally the pediatric ER is also expected to make things move faster in the main ER department.
